About me

Hi, it's me Maria Arum.

I am children's book illustrator from Indonesia. After graduated from college, I illustrated my very first book project for an Indonesian Publisher. That was the start of my illustrator's career.

I am a mother of two. My family is my world. And drawing is my other world.

So, being an illustrator isn't only my job, but also the way to fulfill my desires.

I love everything about nature, local culture and wisdom, faith, and humanity.

That are the things I want to show through my illustrations.

I enjoy working in a quiet atmosphere, or in a place where I can see the beauty of nature, while listening anything that comes from it.

I usually put bright colors and textures in my drawing.

Beautiful is the image of my illustration.

Hope, I can show creativity through captivating illustrations.
